Le Meridien Suvarnabhumi, Bangkok Golf Resort & Spa Unveils MMAD - A New Unlock Art Partnership

Le Meridien Suvarnabhumi, Bangkok Golf Resort & Spa has partnered with MunMun Art Destination (MMAD) to enhance the promotion of art and local cultural heritage through the Unlock Art programme by Le Meridien Hotels and Resorts. This collaboration aims to open doors to a diverse local culture for the resort's guests and establish connections between artists and collectors.

MMAD, a new art landmark in Eastern Bangkok, is located on the 02 and 03 floors of Seacon Square shopping centre, Srinakarin, covering an area of 10,000 square metres. It has been designed as a vibrant hub for art and diverse artistic experiences. The goal of MMAD is to provide a unique collection and exhibition space to make art more accessible to the population living in eastern Bangkok and nearby provinces. Additionally, it aims to bridge the gap between art and daily life. MMAD is the latest destination for art lovers, believing that art should be accessible to everyone. It is dedicated to advancing the art industry and supporting artists, while creating a space where city dwellers can immerse themselves in various artistic experiences through galleries, art markets, crafts, and related activities, fostering knowledge exchange and building a community for all.

Through this partnership, Le Meridien Suvarnabhumi, Bangkok Golf Resort & Spa reaffirms the brand's commitment to unlocking the identity of the destinations where its hotels are located, and offering experiences of local art and culture through the Unlock Art brand programme. Guests can benefit from this artistic partnership by using a Discovery card, included in the Discovery Envelope within their room, alongside their room key, to visit MMAD and receive a 15% discount on selected artworks or use it for a discount on tickets for special exhibitions featuring renowned artists throughout the year.

Mr Giuseppe Fornillo, General Manager of Le Meridien Suvarnabhumi, Bangkok Golf Resort & Spa, commented: "We are delighted to collaborate with MMAD, the newest art centre in Bangkok's eastern district. This partnership not only makes art more accessible to the local community but also adds a distinctive feature to the area. By supporting the organisation of exhibitions and showcasing artworks at the resort, we aim to bridge connections between both Thai and international guests who are art enthusiasts or collectors, providing them access to valuable and unique local art."

Le Meridien Hotels & Resorts is one of the 30 leading hotel brands by Marriott International, offering creative and immersive experiences for creative-minded travellers who seek meaningful moments. With its various brand programmes, the focus is to cherish unique experiences and ultimately to savour the good life, and Unlock Art is a central part of delivering memorable service. This partnership with MMAD is a perfect integration of presenting outstanding local art and culture to travellers from around the world while discovering new meanings and impressions with each visit.

On Tuesday, 17 September 2024, an inaugural art exhibition will be held in the lobby and Latitude 1339 Bar, featuring a small-scale art exhibition from 1800 hrs. onwards.
