Chester Food Company Limited, operator of Chester's Thai quick-service restaurants under Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited (CPF), marks the 11th consecutive year of its "Chester's Sharing Love Charity" initiative. Seventy volunteers from the company prepared and served lunch to 380 children and staff at the Foundation for the Welfare of the Disabled, operating under the Royal Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Srinagarindra, in Pak Kret District, Nonthaburi Province. This endeavor aims to create employee awareness about the significance of well-being, education, and social responsibility, aligning with CP Group's Three-Benefits philosophy.
Miss Lalana Boonngamsri, Managing Director of Chester's, expressed the collective enthusiasm of employees participating in this decade-long social outreach program. This year's collaboration with the Foundation featured an array of Chester's signature dishes, including Grilled Chicken Rice, Spicy Chicken Rice, Chicken Nuggets, and ice cream. The event was further enriched with engaging recreational activities and folk music performances, fostering an atmosphere of joy and laughter. Employees also embraced the opportunity to mentor elementary school children, enhancing the educational aspect of the initiative.
In addition to the culinary offerings, Chester's made a substantial contribution of essential supplies to the foundation, valued at 156,000 baht. This generous donation was made possible through the combined efforts of Chester's employees and benevolent customers who contributed via donation boxes at Chester's outlets nationwide.
"At Chester's, we are committed to corporate social responsibility," Miss Lalana affirmed. "Our ongoing support for the 'Chester's Sharing Love Charity' project enables us to assist various philanthropic organizations. By leveraging our expertise in creating high-quality, nutritious meals, we aim to enhance access to wholesome food for Thai people nationwide."
Initiated in 2013, the "Chester's Sharing Love Charity" project has fostered partnerships with numerous hospitals, foundations, and welfare institutions in Bangkok and its vicinity. Through the provision of ready-to-eat meals and the organization of engaging activities, the project not only cultivates a spirit of sharing among employees but also contributes to the sustainable improvement of community life.
