The origin of the name 'Gumball 3000': Andy Warhol described 'Gumball' as similar to chewing a piece of gum - people do it because they want to; there is no complex reason. Gumball 3000 is a gathering of people who want to have fun and live life full of excitement; there is no other reason than to have fun. The number '3000' refers to the distance that participants have to drive, which is approximately 3,000 miles (around 4,900 kilometers) through several countries on a route that changes every year, making the event filled with challenges and new experiences for participants.
Gumball 3000 will bring a positive reputation to Thailand as an interesting tourist destination as the event includes a tourism aspect in addition to the rally. Participants will experience the unique culture of the countries that the Gumball 3000 travels through and the event will help to distribute income to local communities through related activities. In addition, the fun party is expected to create a memorable experience and become a great tool in promoting tourism that will help drive the economy forward for the cities that the Gumball 3000 passes through.
