Mr. Aswin Techajareonvikul, CEO & President of BJC Big C Group was invited by The Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM) as a panelist at the 17th World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention (WCEC). The event focused on green economy, semiconductor development, and investment opportunities in ASEAN. The three-day event held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Malaysia ran from September 9-11, 2024. Mr. Aswin participated in a panel discussion under the theme "Unlocking the Infinite Potential of the ASEAN Market." The session aimed to explore the vast opportunities in ASEAN with a population of over 600 million consumers.
During the event, Mr. Aswin shared his perspectives, exchanged experiences on the challenges and successes of accessing the ASEAN market. As a leader of an integrated import-export, manufacturing, and distribution business, he emphasized on BJC Big C Group's commitment to sustainable business practices in ASEAN and outlined strategies for adapting to business changes to ensure continued business growth.
The panel was moderated by Tan Sri Nazir Razak, Chairman of ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) Malaysia, and joined by two other panelists including Mr. Nadhir Ashafiq, Co-Founder of The Lorry, and Mr. Terence Siau, Founder's Office & Country Chairman (Malaysia), Sea Limited. The event drew interest from over 4,000 businessmen coming from 50 countries around the world.
