The campaign, "Discover Culture and Cuisine: Explore Samut Songkhram's Hidden Gems and Local Flavors", recently spotlighted the Baanrimklong Homestay community. Featuring renowned chefs and local artisans, the event showcased Samut Songkhram's vibrant culinary scene and cultural heritage. Chef Belle Pimtip Paosila, from MasterChef Thailand Season 5, collaborated with local culinary expert Mae Lek Thirada Ekkaewnamchai to create dishes inspired by local ingredients.
Ms. Duangjai Khumsa-ard, Deputy Director of the TAT Samut Songkhram Office, emphasized the city's potential as a thriving secondary tourism destination due to its close proximity to Bangkok and its unique charm. Known as the "City Three Times River "Samut Songkhram offers diverse activities throughout the day. The Ban Rim Klong Homestay community provides visitors with authentic experiences, such as coconut processing, coconut sugar production, traditional tie-dye, and weaving. The province is also famous for its local delicacies, including GI or Geographical Indication-certified products like large white pomelos, Kom Variety Lychee, Bang Chang chili, steamed Mae Klong mackerel, and Mae Klong sea salt, all of which showcase the region's rich culinary heritage.
