The Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) organized a ceremony to present certificates of honor to recipients of the T Mark for the year 2024. This event aimed to elevate the T Mark from a symbol of trust to a symbol of the Thai brand

It aimed to honor and instill pride in businesses that maintain the quality standards of production, use fair labor practices, and demonstrate responsibility towards the environment and society. This reinforces confidence in Thai products and services on the global trade stage.

Mr. Vuttikrai Leewiraphan, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Commerce, revealed that the department has been continuously promoting the T Mark symbol. This year marked the 12th year of the program, which began with the idea of building confidence and trust in the quality of Thai products and services among international importers. The goal was to establish Thailand's brand reputation on the global stage.

The T Mark symbol not only signifies the premium quality of Thai products and services but also reflects the business practices of Thai entrepreneurs who operate ethically, prioritize environmental concerns, and contribute to society. This aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) recognized internationally. The T Mark program is a significant initiative in building Thailand's brand in trade and services, aligned with the national strategy to enhance the competitiveness of Thai businesses in the global market.

In the future, the department plans to promote the T Mark symbol extensively in target markets, including China, India, and the Middle East, which are large markets with
a preference for and acceptance of Thai product and service quality. Additionally, there are plans to elevate the T Mark symbol to represent "Thailand Brand," further reinforcing Thailand's reputation on the global stage. Mr. Vuttikrai Leewiraphan emphasized these efforts as part of a continuous initiative to build and promote the Thai brand internationally.

Mr. Phusit Rattanakun Serireungrit, the Director-General of Department of International Trade and Promotion, stated that there have been 886 companies, 1,117 brands, and 6,996 products that have received the T Mark symbol. Currently, there are 280 companies maintaining their T Mark membership status, as membership renewal is required every three years. In 2024, 305 companies applied for T Mark, including 99 companies, divided into 30 new applicants and 69 renewals, totaling 54 brands and 486 products.

In this year, the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) carried out various activities to promote the T Mark symbol and the products and services of T Mark members in foreign markets. These activities included organizing exhibitions showcasing T Mark products within international trade fairs held in Thailand, such as STYLE, THAIFEX and RHVAC. Additionally, the DITP organized T Mark symbol public relations in Middle East Countries such as Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Arab Emirates. Also, the DITP promoted T Mark symbol in Cambodia in two big events. These efforts are reach out to the customer's recognition around the world.

Furthermore, the DITP registered the T Mark trademark in 58 countries, including ASEAN, EFTA, the Middle East, and South Asia, to protect the use of the T Mark symbol and prevent the counterfeiting of Thai products abroad.
