This collaboration aims to open doors to the rich local culture for the resort's guests and to establish connections between artists and collectors.
To celebrate this auspicious occasion, the resort hosted an artistic event at the Latitude 1339 Bar, attended by Marriott Bonvoy Elite members, media representatives, and corporate guests interested in art. During the event, MMAD introduced six sophisticated art pieces created by Thai Artists group.
Mr Giuseppe Fornillo, General Manager of Le Meridien Suvarnabhumi, Bangkok Golf Resort & Spa, welcomed all distinguished guests, stating: "It is a great honour for our resort to be part of this programme, which also aims to conserve and promote the originality of Thai culture. Mr Rawatsawat Vasitthakampol, head of Thai Artist group, also participated in discussions about the displayed art pieces, their inspirations, and the group's background. He shared: "Around 30 years ago, we formed a group at the Buddhapadipa Temple in London to paint the temple walls, marking the origin of our group. With the unique talents and one-of-a-kind beauty of Thai artistry, we are dedicated to preserving and promoting this singular identity. As time progresses, we wish to carry this legacy forward with our distinctive techniques, enabling new generations and those not yet exposed to learn about long-lost crafts and artistic wisdoms."
