Formula 1(R) and Lenovo have announced the extension of their partnership, elevating Lenovo to a Global Partner in a multi-year renewal starting in 2025. As part of the deal, Motorola, a subsidiary of Lenovo Group, will become the Global Smartphone Partner of F1. Lenovo will continue to provide state-of-the-art technology devices, solutions, and services to support the delivery of Grands Prix both on the track and remotely. Additionally, Lenovo will serve as the title sponsor for two races per season, and both Lenovo and Motorola will benefit from increased trackside branding at events.
Since 2022, Lenovo technology has been at the heart to F1's operations as an Official Partner, providing on-site High-Performance Computing (HPC) solutions, servers, and edge devices to support the delivery of F1's world-class broadcast, bringing the excitement of the sport to millions of fans globally. Lenovo's hardware?including laptops, workstations, desktop computers, monitors, tablets, and Motorola smartphones?enables F1 staff to create engaging, customized content for its expanding fanbase. Additionally, Lenovo's Asset Recovery Service aligns with F1's sustainability strategy, ensuring retired hardware is recycled in an environmentally conscious manner. Since the partnership began, F1 has sustainably disposed of 95% of obsolete hardware, contributing to cost reduction and enhanced security as the sport works towards its Net Zero target by 2030.
