In light of the recent flash floods and heavy rainfall in the northern regions and many parts of Thailand, LINE Thailand, the leading platform for digital life infrastructure, is encouraging all Thais to add the official LINE ALERT account (search for @linealert) to receive critical disaster warnings in a timely manner. This service provides reliable and accurate information from government agencies at no cost.
LINE ALERT not only helps alert the public to monitor flood situations, but also covers other natural disasters such as storms, fires, and earthquakes. This allows 56 million LINE users nationwide to access vital information promptly. The service is in collaboration with three government agencies: The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, which monitors situations that may lead to disasters; Thai Meteorological Department, responsible for monitoring, forecasting, and reporting weather conditions and natural phenomena; and The Department of Environment, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), which provides updates on PM 2.5 dust levels in Bangkok, ensuring that people in high-risk areas can prepare and respond to natural disasters in time.
As of September 24, 2024, LINE ALERT has 168,415 followers. LINE users can easily add the official account for free by searching for @linealert today. Once added, users can navigate six key features, including updates on five disaster levels (Normal, Watch, Dangerous, Highly Dangerous, and Most Dangerous), checking risk areas, accessing emergency contact numbers, finding nearby hospitals, and learning self-protection methods in various situations. These features cover essential information needs during natural disasters.
Add the account today by searching for @linealert or visiting https://lin.ee/l40xtWN.
