KXVC launches KX Horizon, a program designed to empower early-stage AI and Web3 startups from day 1, with the aim of collaborating and providing financial funding for new tech entrepreneurs
KXVC has introduced KX Horizon, a program designed to support early-stage (pre-seed and seed-stage) startups in the AI, Web3, and Deep Tech sectors. This initiative aims to attract promising founders, investors, and partners to join the program. Special emphasis is placed on startups developing infrastructure and applications so that their capabilities align with market demands and they have access to funding. KX Horizon also aims to help these startups enter the Southeast Asian market and compete successfully in the highly competitive global arena.
Mr. Thanaarmates Arriyavat, Vice Chairman of KASIKORN X Venture Capital (KXVC), revealed that KXVC, a leading venture capital firm under KASIKORN Business-Technology Group (KBTG), has launched the KX Horizon program, designed to support early-stage (pre-seed and seed) founders of AI, Web3, and Deep Tech startups. The goal is to attract talented founders, investors, and partners to participate in the program. Those taking part in the KX Horizon program will receive various forms of support, for example, an expert mentorship network to offer guidance related to investment and resources to business operators, strategic consultation on designs, market insights and idea testing in support of the business and technical aspects, and access to funding sources via investors, organizations and operators within the KX Horizon network. By providing these resources, KX Horizon aims to empower founders to confidently validate their product concepts, swiftly enter the Southeast Asian market, and succeed on the intensely competitive global stage.
Under the investment scope of the KX Horizon program, focus is placed on pre-seed and seed-stage startups, with a particular emphasis on those developing infrastructure and applications in the following areas:
- Applied AI embracing cutting-edge AI technologies, including small and specialized models, agentic models, edge infrastructure and application of AI in financial services, cyber security, etc.
- Web3 focusing on blockchain infrastructure, decentralized physical infrastructure networks (DePIN), asset tokenization and application layer
- Deep Tech emphasizing critical areas like financial services, healthcare, sustainability and manufacturing
Additionally, the program aims to support active and highly skilled founders who have a track record of successful startups and are eager to collaborate in bringing new ideas to life.
Mr. Thanaarmates further added that the KX Horizon program is co-led by Mr. Kacha Mahadumrongkul, who brings extensive experience in the startup and technology sectors, having transformed the non-profit healthcare organization Penta Medical Recycling into a global entity and played a pivotal role in launching digital asset exchanges in Thailand at Upbit, and Mr. Panupak Methachaiyasit, with his deep expertise in blockchain and current role as the head of the Web3 unit at KX. Both co-leads will provide exceptional technical guidance and support throughout the product development journey, combining visionary thinking with technical expertise and available resources to deliver insights that will help startups thrive in today's rapidly evolving market.
