The Thai Private Sector Collective Against Corruption (CAC) has awarded the CAC Change Agent Award 2024 to Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited (CPF) for its significant contributions to establishing a transparent business network throughout its supply chain. CPF has supported and developed the capabilities of its business partners?specifically SMEs?by encouraging their participation in the CAC SME project, thereby creating a strong coalition against corruption.
CPF integrates anti-corruption efforts into its business practices, ensuring that its partners operate based on good governance, ethics, and compliance with international standards. This commitment contributes to building a transparent food supply chain, which is crucial for enhancing the organization's credibility among all stakeholders both internal and external. Furthermore, CPF's efforts foster opportunities and enhance the competitiveness of SMEs, enabling sustainable growth.
This year, in collaboration with CAC, CPF organized training sessions to share knowledge on anti-corruption measures with 367 SME partners. The goal is to raise awareness and assist partners in establishing appropriate policies and practices to prevent fraud within their organizations. Additionally, 13 more SMEs in CPF's partner network have declared their intention to join the anti-corruption coalition this year.
By supporting its SME partners to understand and implement anti-corruption policies and guidelines, CPF enhances their capabilities as part of its supply chain development initiatives through the "Partner to Grow" program. Now in its second year, this program aims to strengthen mutual business capabilities and foster sustainable growth together.
CPF is committed to creating a transparent food supply chain that encompasses everything from sourcing raw materials to production, delivery, and distribution. This commitment builds trust and recognition within society, positively impacting the country's social and economic landscape in the long term. This aligns with the 'Three Benefits for Sustainability' philosophy of the CP Group, which emphasizes conducting business that benefits the country and its people.
The CAC Change Agent Award recognizes companies that are certified members of the Thai Private Sector Collective Against Corruption (CAC) and have successfully encouraged their SME partners to join the initiative, with more than ten partnerships established within a year. This year marks the fourth consecutive time CPF has received this award. Ms. Wipawan Pramoolkhun, Chief Executive Officer of Risk Management and Internal Audit, and Ms. Thidarat Dechayonbuncha, Head of Procurement, recieved the award from Dr. Kulapthara Sirodham, Chairperson of the Thai Private Sector Collective Against Corruption (CAC) at the CAC Certification Ceremony 2024.
