CPF Supports 100 Food Relief Kitchens in Flood-Affected Southern Provinces

Severe rainfall in four southern provinces has led to significant flooding, affecting many residents and making homes uninhabitable. The affected communities are also facing critical shortages of food and drinking water.

In response to the flooding, Mr. Prasit Boonduangprasert, CEO of Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited (CPF), announced an immediate support plan to assist affected communities. The company will provide food supplies to 100 community kitchens through its "CP-CPF Food from the Heart for Flood Relief" project. This initiative aims to support not only local residents but also volunteers from government agencies, local administrative organizations, educational institutions, and various volunteer groups involved in flood relief efforts.

Recently, volunteers from CPF's Chana Egg Complex in Songkhla Province supported flood relief efforts by delivering eggs to the Chana District's Taling Chan Subdistrict Administrative Organization shelter. The egg donation will help prepare nutritious meals for people displaced by the flooding. Furthermore, the company extended support to Prince of Songkla University, which has established a relief shelter with a kitchen dedicated to cooking and distributing food for those affected by sudden floods.

Moreover, CPF's Singhanakhon Shrimp Hatchery is actively contributing to the Singhanakhon District Flood Relief Center in Songkhla Province. The initial focus is on providing drinking water and eggs to cook meals for residents hit by flood. CPF is committed to working alongside government agencies and various volunteer organizations to ensure that aid reaches residents as swiftly as possible.
