On 13 December 2024, Bangchak Group organized its annual supplier seminar entitled "Empowering Sustainability through Procurement Center," with more than 300 suppliers participating at Siam Pavalai Royal Grand Theatre, Siam Paragon.
Mrs. Ratrimani Pasiphol, Senior Executive Vice President, Corporate Management and Organization Development, presided over the opening ceremony and provided an overview of Bangchak Group's policies and direction aimed at fostering sustainable business growth. She also presented the Outstanding ESG Way of Conduct certificates to suppliers who fully adhered to the Supplier Code of Conduct (SCOC). Mrs. Gloyta Nathalang, Senior Executive Vice President, Sustainability Management and Corporate Communications, and Chairperson of the Carbon Markets Club, delivered a talk on "Partnering for a Low-Carbon Future," offering insights to help suppliers adapt to a low-carbon society. She also invited participants to join the Carbon Markets Club to achieve sustainable growth together. Ms. Pinn Siraprapasiri, Project Lead for the Private Sector Collective Action Against Corruption (CAC) at the Thai Institute of Directors (IOD), shared knowledge on the private sector's role in combating corruption. Her session aimed to raise awareness and understanding among suppliers, encouraging them to establish policies and guidelines to prevent all forms of corruption in line with good corporate governance principles.
Additional procurement updates were shared, including the transformation of the procurement division into Procurement Shared Services to support Bangchak Group's expanding business operations. The revised Supplier Code of Conduct was also introduced, reflecting current global trends and challenges. These changes are designed to help suppliers adapt and collaborate in fostering sustainable business opportunities.
