Associate Professor Dr. Supakorn Pongbangpho, the President of the University of Phayao, entrusted Associate Professor Dr. Phanintra Teeranon, Assistant to the President, to organize a workshop titled "Learning City Administrator" from December 16th- 17th, 2024. The event, jointly hosted by the University of Phayao, the Equitable Education Fund (EEF), and Udon Thani Rajabhat University, aimed to develop local personnel in Bueng Kan Province, promoting learning cities, reducing educational inequality, and improving community quality of life. The workshop was held at The One Hotel, Bueng Kan Province.
The training session was graced by the presence of Assistant Professor Dr. Khanisara Thanyasunthornsakun, the President of Udon Thani Rajabhat University, who delivered a report. Additionally, Mr. Nakorn Siriparinyanan, Deputy Governor of Bueng Kan Province, inaugurated the event and delivered inspiring remarks to the participants.

This initiative focuses on cultivating personnel with systems thinking skills to ensure sustainable education and local development. Over the past two years, it has been implemented nationwide, involving more than 30 participants, including government officials, local administrators, and Buddhist monks. Together, they explored approaches to developing learning cities tailored to Bueng Kan Province's context. Participants who complete the training will receive certificates from the Institute of Learning Innovation, University of Phayao. Supported by the City Unit of the Innovation and Technology Transfer Institute, University of Phayao, the program remains committed to advancing learning cities to reduce inequality and foster community potential sustainably into the future.
