CP AXTRA Scores 84/100 to Secure 4th Place Globally in S&P Global's 2024 CSA for the Food and Staples Retailing Industry, Strengthening Its Global Sustainability Leadership

CP AXTRA Public Company Limited, an operator of Asia's leading wholesaler and retailer, Makro and Lotus's, has participated in the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) Score 2024 conducted by S&P Global, the organization behind the prestigious Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI). Demonstrating remarkable progress, CP AXTRA scored of 84 out of 100, ranking 4th globally in the Food & Staples Retailing category - a significant improvement from its 2023 score of 71. The Company was also recognized as an "Industry Mover" in The Sustainability Yearbook 2024, underscoring its unwavering commitment to sustainable business operations that create value for stakeholders across all dimensions.

CP AXTRA's commitment to sustainability is evident in its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives. These include installing solar panels at over 924 Makro and Lotus's stores and distribution centers to generate clean energy, and implementing measures to achieve 'zero food waste to landfills' by 2030 though the "From Waste to Worth" project. Makro and Lotus's stores nationwide have achieved 100% waste sorting, converting waste into valuable resources for local communities. The Company also places strong emphasis on human rights, fair labor practices, and gender equality, fostering a diverse workforce. In December 2024, CP AXTRA received the UN Women 2024 Asia-Pacific WEPs Award for the second consecutive year, recognizing its efforts to promote gender equality.
