CODIUM and GHL Thailand launch

CODIUM, a leader in e-Signature and Digital Transformation solutions, has partnered with GHL Thailand Co., LTD. (GHL), a leading payment solutions provider and a prominent EDC (Electronic Data Capture) provider, to launch the country's first fully integrated e-Tax solution on payment terminals. Together, they have launched the "e-Tax on EDC" functionality, enabling the issuance of fully compliant electronic tax invoices directly through EDC machines for the first time in Thailand. This innovation aims to simplify tax invoicing for businesses, particularly in the restaurant sector, reducing complexity, saving time, and aligning with the government's "Easy e-Receipt" initiative to promote the adoption of electronic documentation.

"In the past, using multiple systems simultaneously created unnecessary complexity for businesses," said Mr.Sivabudh Umpudh, Chief Executive Officer of CODIUM. "The e-Tax function on GHL's EDC machines solves this issue immediately by automating tax invoicing at the point of sale. This allows business owners to focus on customer service while ensuring compliance with government standards."

Mr.Prinya Jinantuya, Chief Executive Officer of GHL (Thailand) Co., Ltd., shared, "GHL's goal is to lead the payment ecosystem both in Thailand and the region. We aim to build infrastructure that meets all business needs while driving digital economic growth." He added, "Our collaboration with CODIUM enables merchants to issue e-Tax invoices quickly and easily in just three simple steps. On GHL's EDC machines: select the e-Tax function after a sale, input the customer's 13-digit taxpayer ID or insert their national ID for individuals, and print a QR code receipt for customers to scan and retrieve their tax invoices instantly. This collaboration reinforces GHL's position as a leader in payment innovation and solutions in Thailand. The company is committed to enhancing the sustainability of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) by offering financial and value-added services that maximize convenience and operational efficiency for merchants and customers alike."

Khun Nichapar Leemayuwatthananon, the owner of Tare Yakiniku, a pilot restaurant using GHL's EDC machine with the e-Tax function, shared, "With the previous e-Tax system, our staff had to manually input customer information, which was time-consuming and sometimes led to errors, requiring reissuance. This wasted time for both the store and the customers. However, with the solution from CODIUM and GHL, which integrates tax invoicing into the EDC machine, we can now handle payments and issue tax invoices all in one device. This helps reduce errors in data entry and significantly shortens the e-Tax issuance process to just seconds, eliminating redundancy and saving both time and costs efficiently."

Integrating e-Tax into EDC machines allows businesses to comply with government policies requiring merchants to issue electronic receipts under the "Easy e-Receipt" initiative. This initiative provides tax benefits and deductions for citizens filing their annual taxes for 2025 without the need for additional system installations, saving both time and costs.

Moreover, the e-Tax function on EDC machines enhances customer convenience by enabling them to receive e-Tax documents within minutes, ensuring accurate and valid information. Customers can choose to receive their tax invoices via email or store them on their mobile devices, reducing the need for paper document storage. This makes it easier to retrieve past records while also elevating the financial transaction experience in the digital era.

Business owners interested in learning more about using e-Tax on EDC machines can contact the GHL call center at 02-440-0122 for additional information and support.
