On Tuesday, January 28th, 2025, the University of Phayao participated in the 76th Republic Day of India celebration at the Suthep Room, Chiang Mai Marriott Hotel, Chiang Mai Province. On behalf of the university, Associate Professor Dr.Phanintra Teeranon, Assistant to the President, attended the event as a representative, following the assignment of Associate Professor Dr. Supakorn Pongbangpho, the President of the University of Phayao.
During the ceremony, Mr. Pranav Ganesh, Consul General of India in Chiang Mai, and Mr. Nirat Pongsitthaworn, Governor of Chiang Mai Province, emphasized the enduring relationship between Thailand and India, which is based on shared cultural values and a history of collaboration in various areas. The two countries are committed to enhancing cooperation in economics, education, and culture, with the goal of further strengthening their bilateral relations in the future.
The celebration brought together more than 200 attendees, including government officials, representatives from state enterprises, and members of the private sector from both Thailand and India. As the national anthems of both nations played, attendees stood in a show of respect, symbolizing the enduring unity and diplomatic friendship between the two countries.
The University of Phayao's participation in this significant event reflects its commitment to international collaboration, particularly in the fields of education and culture.
