'SJWD' and group companies close a mega-project deal With 'Carrier' air conditioners worth over 1.8 billion baht Reaffirming position as leader in end-to-end logistics solutions provider

SCGJWD Logistics Public Company Limited (SJWD) and group companies, concluded a huge 1,850-million-baht deal with B.Grimm Carrier (Thailand) Company Limited and Carrier (Thailand) Company Limited, the manufacturers and distributors of "Carrier" and "Toshiba" branded air conditioners. This "mega-project" deal demonstrates SJWD's capability in being the logistics solution industry leader, capable of providing end-to-end solution services, from land acquisition, warehouse design, construction and management, through to the provision of comprehensive logistics services. It is expected that the new warehouse will be ready for utilization for this major project within this October, as preparations are being made to further develop the cross-border transportation services to import air-conditioner units manufactured abroad into Thailand, and the management of Customs procedures.

Mr. Bunn Kasemsup, Co-Chief Executive Officer of SCGJWD Logistics Public Company Limited (SJWD), the largest integrated logistics and supply chain service provider in the ASEAN, revealed that revealed that SJWD is in full cooperation with Alpha Industrial Solutions Company Limited (ALPHA), a joint venture between SJWD and Origin Property Public Company Limited (ORI), demonstrating its capability as a leader in logistics and supply chain services by offering integrated logistics solutions covering both warehousing and "end-to-end solution" logistics services that can comprehensively meet customers' expectations. Most recently, the Company won a major bid from B.Grimm Carrier (Thailand) Co.,Ltd. and Carrier (Thailand) Co. Ltd., which wanted to locate their new warehouses to an area closer to the factory in Bangkadi Industrial Park to increase logistics management efficiency. The bidding for this large project was well participated in by competitors which were all leading logistics companies both local and multinational.

Under the terms of the contract, the Company will provide the management services for temporary warehousing, including the design and management of a new warehouse, as well as the transportation service of air-conditioner units and spare parts to Carrier dealers and customers in Thailand, along with the "Fulfillment" service and delivering merchandise as ordered to customers who place orders via online platforms such as TikTok, NocNoc, Shopee, Lazada, etc., with a project value of over 1.5 billion baht over the contract period of six years and 10 months. The realization of revenue from temporary warehouse management and product transportation has already began since November of last year.

Meanwhile, Alpha Industrial Solutions Co., Ltd. is in the process of constructing a new "built-to-suit" warehouse building according to the customers' specifications and renting out the said warehouse, with a project value of over 350 million baht over the 6-year contract period. The projected warehouse which is already under construction covers a total building area of over 28,000 square meters, and is expected to be completed and ready for delivery and operational this October.

Mr. Charvanin Bunditkitsada, Co-Chief Executive Officer of SJWD, said that the success in winning this major deal reflects the Company's potential and capability in providing a full range of services, together with the confidence that the customers have in the Company, including having ALPHA as a strong partner. SJWD has the experience and knowledge in warehouse management, product delivery to dealers and end customers nationwide, supported by a fleet of more than 14,000 vehicles, and the ability to provide "Next Day Delivery" with real-time monitoring of product delivery status, which better meets consumers' needs.

In addition, the Company is boosting the efficiency of truck utilization in the distribution to end customers by investing in new types of vehicles, switching from the regular 4-wheel pickup trucks and 4-wheel jumbo pickup trucks to "big jumbo" 4-wheel pickup trucks, to increase the per-trip transportation efficiency, as well as to respond to the need of more flexible transportation in urban areas, along with the importance of having distribution centers in various regions. Moreover, the Company has offered additional logistics solutions to B.Grimm Carrier (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and Carrier (Thailand) Co., Ltd. such as the transportation of air-conditioner units manufactured overseas into Thailand, cross-border transportation services, and the management of Customs procedures, etc., to expand the coverage of the services.

Mr. Waraseth Tantisiriwat, Managing Director of B.Grimm Carrier (Thailand) Co., Ltd., said that B.Grimm Carrier and Carrier (Thailand) Co., Ltd. had a need to relocate a new warehouse to an area closer to the factory to reduce transportation time and logistics costs.
