
depa, in collaboration with the Rice Department, GetKaset Co., Ltd. and Juadaijuadee Co., Ltd. is moving forward with a proactive digital agricultural knowledge communication project focused on rice. This initiative aims to enhance agricultural knowledge, particularly about rice, through digital technology such as 'games' to attract younger generations. The goal is to enable them to access and understand the rice cultivation process from upstream to downstream while also raising consumer awareness about rice.
Dr. Ratthasart Korrasud, Senior Executive Vice President of the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa), along with Mr. Arnon Noncie, Deputy Director General of the Department of Rice, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, Ms. Thunyathorn Junyavoraluck, CEO GetKaset Co., Ltd. and Mr. Akaphop Chantarasrivongs, Director of Juadaijuadee Co., Ltd. (Jua Studio) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for proactive digital agricultural knowledge communication on rice. Executives from all four organizations witnessed the signing ceremony at the depa Headquarters.
The proactive digital agricultural knowledge communication project on rice aims to enhance agricultural knowledge, especially about rice, through digital technology like games. This approach will attract the younger generation, making it easy for them to access and understand the rice cultivation process from start to finish. Additionally, it aims to raise awareness about rice among consumers.
Dr. Preesan Rakwatin, Executive Vice President of depa revealed that a key mission continuously carried out by depa is to promote the accessibility of digital technology, learning and practical application for all groups of people across all ages. To achieve this, depa has designed the Digital Skill Roadmap as a framework for developing digital skills among Thai people in three key categories: Digital Skill for All - Digital skills for everyone, Digital-driven Career - Digital skills for modern professions and Digital Professional - Digital skills for careers in the digital field. Additionally, depa supports and promotes entrepreneurs in the country's gaming industry. It has also drafted the Game Industry Promotion Act, marking a significant step toward establishing a solid foundation and fostering the comprehensive development of Thailand's gaming industry.

Mr. Arnon stated that the Rice Department is well-equipped with extensive knowledge of rice, innovations, and advanced technologies for researching, developing, and promoting rice production in Thailand. The department also utilizes modern media to effectively disseminate knowledge about advanced technology management to the public across all age groups. Regarding this collaboration, the Rice Department is ready to provide academic support, including information on rice varieties, cultivation processes, and water management. This information will be incorporated into the game to ensure that it delivers accurate and beneficial knowledge to the public.
Ms. Thunyathorn stated that GetKaset is an organization dedicated to integrating technology with the agricultural sector to enhance the quality of life for Thai farmers through knowledge, innovation, and the sustainable development of agricultural communities. Additionally, the company focuses on utilizing digital platforms and various communication tools to enable farmers to access useful information conveniently and accurately. In this initiative, GetKaset will play a key role in transforming agricultural knowledge into easily understandable and accessible information for the general public. By leveraging technology and appropriate communication tools, the company aims to ensure that this information benefits not only farmers but also raises public awareness of the importance of agriculture and how it can be applied in everyday life.
Mr. Akaphop stated that Jua Studio is an organization focused on designing and developing board games as a medium for conveying agricultural knowledge through engaging and accessible gameplay. This approach allows both children and adults to learn about agriculture naturally. In this initiative, Jua Studio plays a key role in developing game content and activities that present agricultural information in an interesting and easy-to-understand manner. The game design process emphasizes a balance between fun and educational value, ensuring that players not only enjoy the experience but also gain knowledge about agriculture.
Additionally, the event featured the launch of QuestKaset: RiceStory, a board game developed by Jua Studio that simulates resource management and farming strategy planning. QuestKaset: RiceStory is a special edition created in collaboration with the Rice Department, incorporating expert knowledge and information on rice varieties. The game focuses on Thai rice, traditional farming practices, and the importance of selecting the right rice varieties. Its goal is to inspire young people and the public to deeply engage with the rice farming process in a fun and accessible way, enhancing interest and awareness. Jua Studio also plans to expand the game's characters into other formats, including comic books, animations, and collectible items, allowing youth and the public to learn about agriculture through diverse and easily accessible channels.
The Proactive Digital Agricultural Knowledge Communication Project on Rice includes a regional board game competition across four regions to select representatives for the Toyota Farm Expo 2025, which will take place from September 25 - 28, 2025, at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani. This competition will serve as a platform for players from across the country to showcase their agricultural skills and knowledge through gameplay, raising awareness and fostering greater interest in the agricultural sector.
