The accolade recognizes a bond issuer who demonstrates bond transaction excellence and contributes significantly to the sustainable development of Thailand's corporate bond market ecosystem. The Issuer of the Year distinction is awarded to the corporate bond issuer who has consistently played a pioneering role in private sector bond market development through repeated issuances that achieve substantial investor acceptance.
In accepting the award, Mr. Manop Sangiambut, Chief Financial Officer of SCBX, remarked: "This recognition marks SCBX's second consecutive accolade from ThaiBMA, following our dual achievements of Deal of the Year and Most Innovative Deal in 2023, The Issuer of the Year 2024 award is exemplified by our successful second series of debenture issuance comprising seven distinct tranches with an aggregate value of THB 42 billion."
"The offering was distributed to various segments of investors to accommodate retail investors, institutional investors, and high-net-worth individuals, generating exceptional market responses. Most notably, the public offering tranche reached full subscription at THB 15 billion, necessitating the activation of our THB 5 billion greenshoe option, thereby elevating total public subscription to THB 20 billion," Mr. Manop added.
