Bangchak Receives Carbon Footprint Certification

Reinforcing Leadership in Low-Carbon Products and Enabling Real Emission Reductions for Energy Users

On 19 March 2025, Ms. Kittima Wongsaen, Executive Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Business Development, Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, appointed to Refinery Optimization and Synergy Enterprise Company Limited (ROSE), accepted Carbon Footprint of Product (CFP) certifications from Dr. Chalermchai Sri-on, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment. The Minister presided over the Carbon Footprint Certification Ceremony, organized by the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization) (TGO) at the Thailand Institute of Justice on Chaeng Watthana Road, Bangkok.

Bangchak has consistently prioritized the development and distribution of low-carbon products that help reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Five Bangchak products have been certified with the Carbon Footprint of Product label namely, fuel oil, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), high-speed Diesel, gasoline, and kerosene or jet fuel. These products have greenhouse gas emissions that are 13% to 39% lower than the national average, as assessed by Open Government Data of Thailand, and are also below the benchmark standards of both domestic and international oil refineries.

Bangchak has continuously been registered under the Carbon Footprint of Product certification from 2018 to 2022 and most recently from 2023 to 2026. This reaffirms the company's leadership in developing low-carbon products that effectively reduce greenhouse gas emissions for energy users, driving Thailand toward a sustainable, low-carbon economy.
