
On Thursday, March 20th, 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Supakorn Pongbangpho, President of the University of Phayao, assigned Associate Professor Dr. Direk Teeraputon, Vice President for University Communications, to represent the university in receiving the award for Higher Education Institution Promoting Model Educators. This award recognizes universities that implement policies supporting model educators in teaching, uphold professional ethics, and maintain high-quality education in higher education institutions. It also aims to inspire and motivate outstanding educators who demonstrate creativity and modern teaching methodologies to foster genuine and sustainable student learning.
This year, Assistant Professor Dr. Narin Nonthamand from the College of Education at the University of Phayao has been awarded the 2025 Model Educator in Teaching award.
The conference, organized by the Professional and Organizational Development Network of Thailand Higher Education (Thailandpod) in collaboration with the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation (MHESI), was held under the theme of "20th Annual Academic Conference: AI Digital Transformation for Thai Higher Education - Enhancing Lifelong Learning Using AI." This event served as a platform for exchanging ideas and innovations in higher education teaching, with a focus on preparing universities, educators, and faculty members to adapt to technological advancements and modern learning approaches. The conference took place from March 20th - 21st, 2025, at the Ambassador Hotel (Sukhumvit 11) in Bangkok.
