TCL reveals to raid on Thai Electric Appliances

TCL, Chinese gigantic electric appliances manufacturer, reveals the strategic so called, “4 Commandments of being number one” and wishes to sit in Thai consumer’s heart altogether trying to be color television leading company within 4 years.
TCL Electronics (Thailand) Co., Ltd., producer and distributor of Chinese electric appliances under the brand “TCL”, demonstrates its marketing strategy in Thailand in which concentrating on wide range of consumer basis due to the variation of product and good quality, which can satisfy variation of every consumers needs. By doing so, TCL will show “Good goods and pleasant price” to assure consumers that it is worth their money.
Mr. Anson Cheng, Managing Director of TCL Electronics (Thailand) Co., Ltd. Mentions about the marketing strategy, “4 Commandments of being number one” is a strategic plan applied in Thailand. “Firstly, we focus on fine product and cheap price which is also include a fabulous design, and reasonable price. Secondly, being number one in service is another main focus which includes the after-sales service and servicing consumer in general. At this moment, TCL dares to guarantee quality of products for three years while others merely said one year. In the same time, we plan “a delivery home service” which is a pattern we currently use in China. In some provinces we can develop to “submit-for-repair-and-take-back service” within 24 hours, but in Thailand, at this moment, we could fix the problem within couple of days. Thirdly, number one distribution channel, TCL has a target constructing dealer network planning that each province will need to have dealer to take care customer in stead of the main branch; as a result, we could support a training course, exhibit a sales promotion program and after-sales service. At first phase, we are now having new branches at Chiang Mai, Khon Kaen and Songkla. And for the last commandment is a number one in sales promotion at a selling point in every distribution channel not only through dealers or modern trade stores”.
TCL predicts that color television would make its fortune in Thailand which TCL wants to dominate the market within year 2005 in a portion of 5-6%, and within 4 years from now must be a market leader, “I think our entry to this market generate more or less interest for Thai color television market, especially price”, Mr. Anson added
