Tom Brewer appointed president, Ford Operations Thailand effective March 1, 2006.
Brewer has a wealth of marketing, sales and service experience and was most recently the general marketing manager of Lincoln Mercury in the United States.
John Felice appointed general marketing manager for the Ford brand in the United States.
Ford Thailand closed 2005 with record car sales following the Ford Focus introduction, record improvements on customer satisfaction in both sales and service satisfaction, and record production volumes at AutoAlliance Thailand.
Ford Thailand today announced that Tom Brewer has been named president, Ford Operations Thailand, succeeding John Felice who will return to Ford's headquarters as the general marketing manager for the Ford brand in the United States.
Brewer has a wealth of marketing, sales and service experience and was most recently the general marketing manager of Lincoln Mercury in the United States. His wide scope and depth of experience comes from having held a range of positions in marketing, sales and service, with responsibilities covering marketing strategies, retail campaigns, customer service, distribution network and dealer development.
Prior to Lincoln Mercury, Brewer was director of Marketing, Sales and Service at Ford Brazil where he played a pivotal role in establishing the Ford brand and increasing market penetration on the back of successful products such as the Ford EcoSport and Ford Fiesta.
"Tom's skills and experience as well as proven ability to deliver will contribute to accelerate our growth objectives for Thailand. I am confident Tom's strong leadership will steer Thailand to greater success," said Peter Daniel, president of Ford Asia Pacific and Africa.
In a separate North American announcement, John Felice was appointed Ford brand's general marketing manager for the United States and will join the team charged with executing the recently unveiled Way Forward plan. In his challenging new role, Felice's marketing talents will be harnessed to strengthen the Ford brand and refocus its commitment to the customer.
Under Felice's leadership, Thailand delivered a most successful 2005 with record car sales following the Ford Focus introduction, record improvements on customer satisfaction in both sales and service satisfaction, and record production volumes at AutoAlliance Thailand. Before taking on the helm at Thailand, Felice spent nearly three years as executive director, Marketing, Sales and Service for Ford Asia Pacific and Africa, where he was responsible for the development and implementation of marketing, sales and service strategies for twelve markets across the region.
