The Pan Pacific Hotel Bangkok, together with Italasia, welcome you to a special Italian wine tasting dinner, where you can taste the best Italian wines while enjoying specially prepared dishes from Pan Pacific’s executive chef Patrice Dumont. Chef Dumont has selected the finest dishes based on his 20 years of experience working in Michelin Star restaurants around the world. This will be an evening you won’t want to miss.
Each wine has been carefully chosen to match the flavours and aromas of each dish. The culinary journey begins with a surprise aperitif served with Pinot - Chardonnay Spumante Brut, followed by scrambled egg with sea urchin tears and caviar; milk cappuccino with ground coriander accompanied by Principessa Gavia 2005 (Piedmonte).
Following enjoy roasted scallops with salted butter mashed beetroot, grilled tomato and chorizo sauce, served with Banfi “Fumaio” (Chardonnay - Sauvignon Blanc) 2005 (Tuscany); mille feuille of pan fried duck liver with caraway and fresh heart of palm green olives tapenade with anchovy, accompanied by Mandrarossa Nero d’Avola 2004 (Sicily). The lamb loin sushi with eggplant and hummus artichoke fricassee and asparagus julienne in truffle flavour will be served with Tunuta Coppadoro Continone (Montepulciano - Aglianico - Cabernet Sauvignon) 2003 (Puglia).
The meal will be followed by an unforgettable dessert consisting of vanilla and mascarpone mousse in cigar, citronella and vanilla jelly, chocolate and vanilla cake, and vanilla and truffle oil accompanied by Carlo Pellegrino Marsala Fine Rubino (Sicily).
