Cambodia Shinawatra Company Limited (“CamShin”), a subsidiary of Shenington Investments Pte Ltd. which THAICOM Plc. hold 51% shares announced today that the Company is renamed “Mfone Company Limited”, effective January 12, 2009, to strengthen its established brand name “Mfone” - a mobile phone service provider in Cambodia. Mfone Company Limited is the second largest mobile operator in Cambodia, with more than 900,000 subscribers and 700 base stations across the country at present.
“As our new letterhead indicates, we have changed the name of our business from Cambodia Shinawatra Co., Ltd. to Mfone Company Limited, but there has been no change in the management. We will continue to provide excellent products and services on which we have built our reputation in the mobile service industry of Cambodia for more than a decade, and we reemphasize our service commitment for the future of Cambodia” said Mr. Jiroj Srinamwong, General Manager of Mfone Co., Ltd.

Established in 1993, Mfone Company Limited (formerly known as Cambodia Shinawatra Co., Ltd.) was granted a 35-year concession from the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications of Cambodia to provide fixed-line telephone and mobile phone services.
