General Situation at 04:00 AM local Time The monsoon trough lies across the Central, the East and the lower Northeast of Thailand, and the active southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, southern Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand. More rain and the strong wind-wave are likely over the country. People along hill slope near waterways and in lowland are warned of possible flash flood during a few days. The disaster areas include Prachin Buri, Nakhon Nayok, Chon Buri, Rayong, Chanthaburi, Trat, Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Ranong, Phang-nga and Phuket. All ships should proceed with caution and small boats keep ashore during this period.

During 12-15 October, the ridge of high pressure from China will extend to northern and upper northeastern Thailand. Thundershower is expected for the first time and cooler weather follows.

Variable winds 10-30 km/hr.

Central Part Fairly widespread thundershowers mostly in Kanchanaburi, Suphanburi,

Ratchaburi, Samut Songkhram and Samut Sakhon.

Southwesterly winds 15-30 km/hr.

Eastern Part Fairly widespread and isolated heavy rain in Nakhon Nayok, Prachin Buri,

Chon Buri, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat.

Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershower areas.

Southern Part (East Coast) Scattered thundershowers mostly in Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan,

Chumphon, Surat Thani, and Nakhon Si Thammarat.

Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr.

Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershower areas.

Southern Part (West Coast) Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rain in Ranong,

Phang-nga, Phuket and Krabi.

Metropolitan Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rain.
