General Situation at 04:00 AM local Time During 27-31 October, the active northeast monsoon across southern Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand brings more rain with heavy falls in many areas. People in disaster areas near waterways and in lowlands should beware of severe weather and flash flood. As the strong wind-wave occurs in the Gulf, all ships proceed with caution and small boats keep ashore during this period.

The ridge of intense high pressure from China has covered upper Thailand and brings less rain over northern, northeastern, central and eastern Thailand with cooler weather by 2-4 oC drops.

Eastern Part Widely scattered thundershowers mostly along coastal and

mountainous areas of Chon Buri, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat.

Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meters offshore.

Southern Part (East Coast) Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rain in Phetchaburi,

Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat,

Phatthalung and Songkhla.

Northeasterly winds 20-40 km/hr. Wave height 2-3 meters.

Southern Part (West Coast) Fairly widespread thundershowers mostly in Ranong, Phang-nga, Phuket and Satun.

Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters.

Metropolitan Widely scattered thundershowers.
