General Situation at 04:00 AM local Time The ridge of rather intense high pressure from China has extended to upper Thailand and the South China Sea. Cool with morning fog is likely over the areas while cold is forecast on mountaintops.
The northeast monsoon still prevails over the South and the Gulf of Thailand. Isolated heavy rain is expected over the South with moderate wind-wave in the Gulf. Residents in disaster areas from Nakhon Si Thammarat southward are warned of severe heavy rain and all ships should proceed with caution during this period.
