General Situation at 04:00 AM local Time The ridge of rather intense high pressure from China still extends to upper Thailand and the South China Sea. Cool and morning fog are likely with 1-2 oC drops over the areas during 1-3 days.
The rather active northeast monsoon remains across the South and the Gulf of Thailand. Torrential rain and isolated heavy fall are expected over the South. Residents in Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Krabi, Trang and Satun are warned of severe heavy rain and possible flash flood. The wind in the Gulf becomes rather strong with wave of 2-3 meters high. All ships should proceed with caution during 2-3 December.
