Weather Forecast During 17-19 Dec, the intense high pressure area from China will extend its ridge to cover upper Thailand and the South China Sea. Thundershowers with gust and then 3-5oC drops with windy are effect in the areas. The rather strong northeast monsoon prevails over the Gulf and the South. Increasing in rainfalls and heavy falls are expected in the South. Wind-wave in the Gulf will strengthen, wave height 2-4 meters during the period.
During 20-23 Dec, This high pressure area covering upper Thailand will weaken. Rising in temperature and morning mist is likely in the area while weaken wind-wave in the Gulf of Thailand.
Warning During 17-20 Dec, people in the South from Chumphon southward should beware of heavy falls and flooding. All ships in the Gulf should proceed with caution and small boats keep ashore.
Northern Part During 17and 20-23 Dec, cool to cold and morning fog. Minimum temperature 16-18 oC.
