Subject: Strong wind-wave in the South China Sea and the lower Gulf

The nearly intense high pressure area from China has extended its ridge to upper Thailand and the South China Sea. The northeast monsoon prevails over the South China Sea and the lower Gulf is strengthening. Wind wave with 2-4 meters high. All ships should proceed with caution and small boats in the areas keep ashore during 5-7 January, 2011.
Cooler weather with 1-3 o C drops is likely in upper Thailand.

Northern Part Morning fog with isolated thick patches.
Upper portion: cold, minimum temperature about 15 C.
Lower portion: cool, minimum temperature 16-20 C.
