Weather Forecast The high pressure from China still extends its ridge to cover upper Thailand and the South China Sea throughout the period. Cooler weather with morning fog and dense fog is likely over upper Thailand. During 7-9 Jan, the westerly trough will move across the upper northern Thailand causing isolated rain and drop in temperature in the areas.
The rather strong northeast monsoon prevails over southern Thailand and the lower Gulf of Thailand. Isolated heavy rain is likely in the area and wave height 2-3 meters in lower Gulf of Thailand.
During 11-12 Jan, an intense high pressure from China will extend its ridge to cover upper Thailand, causing drop in temperature and windy.
Warning During 7-9 Jan, People in lower southern Thailand should beware of flooding and all ships in the Gulf of Thailand should proceed with caution and small boats in the lower Gulf keep ashore during the periods.
Northern Part Morning fog and isolated dense fog. Upper portion: cold, minimum temperature 14-15oC.
