Weather Forecast During 12-14 Jan, the high pressure area still covers upper Thailand and the South China Sea. Cool to cold weather in general and isolated to widely scattered rain.
During 15-18 Jan, another nearly intense high pressure from China will extend its ridge to cover upper Thailand and the South China Sea, and the westerly trough move pass the North, the upper Central and the upper Northeast. Rainfall in the first and then 3-5 C drops is likely in upper Thailand. The northeast monsoon prevails over the Gulf and the South will strengthen. Increasing in rainfall and isolated heavy rain. Wind wave in the lower Gulf will strengthen.
Warning During 16-18 Jan, people in the South from Phatthalung downward should beware of heavy rain. All ships in the Gulf of Thailand should proceed with caution.
Northern Part During 12-15 Jan, cold in the upper part, minimum temperature 14-15oC. Cool elsewhere,
minimum temperature 16-18oC. Cold to very cold on mountaintops, minimum temperature 6-12 C. Easterly winds 10-30 km./hr. During 16-18 Jan, widely scattered to scattered rain in the first
and then 3-5 C drops.
Northeastern Part During 12-15 Jan, cold in the upper part, minimum temperature 12-15oC.
