Weather Forecast The nearly intense high pressure area from China has extended its ridge to cover Thailand. The westerly trough moves pass upper Thailand. Cool to cold weather with 3-5 C drops is likely in the areas and isolated light rain in the North. The strong northeast monsoon prevails over the lower Gulf and the South China Sea. Wind wave in the lower Gulf from Surat Thani downward with 2-3 meters. During 19-24 Jan, this high pressure area will cover upper Thailand. Cool to cold weather is likely in the areas continue and morning fog.
While during 21-23 Jan, an easterly wave will be move pass the South and the Gulf. Increasing in rainfalls and isolated heavy rain are likely in the South East Coast.
Warning During 18-19 Jan, all ships in the Gulf of Thailand should proceed with caution and small boats in the lower Gulf keep shore. During 19-24 Jan, all forms of transport in upper Thailand should beware of visibility.
