Weather Forecast During 1-3 Feb, The ridge of nearly intense high pressure area has extended to Thailand and the South China Sea. The westerly trough move across upper Thailand. Rainfall in the first and then 3-5 oC drops is likely in the North, the upper Central and the upper Northeastern. The rather strong northeast monsoon prevails over southern Thailand, the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea. Scattered rainfall with isolated heavy rain is likely over the South from Surat Thani southward. Wind wave in the Gulf and the Andaman Sea with 2-3 meters. After that during 4-7 Feb, this northeast monsoon will weaken. Decreasing in rain is likely in the South. Wind-wave in the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea will weaken. Warning During 1-2 Feb, All ships in the lower Gulf of Thailand from Surat Thani southward and the Andaman Sea should proceed with caution and small boats keep ashore.
Northern Part During 1-3 Feb, isolated to widely scattered light rain and 3-5 oC drops.
Upper part: cold, minimum temperature 14-15 oC. Lower part: cool, minimum temperature 16-20 oC.
