Weather Forecast During 14-15 February, 2011. The ridge of intense high pressure area from China extends to Thailand and South China Sea. Thunderstorms with gust are expected over the country.
The southwest monsoon over southern Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand will intense. Increasing rainfall is likely in the south and 2-3 meters of wave high in the lower Gulf of Thailand. During February 16-20, this high pressure will week, causing warm weather and dense fog in the North, Northeast, Central and East. While southeasterly wind prevails over the Central and East Thailand, causing widely to scattered rain the areas.
Warning During 14-15 Feb, all ships in the lower Gulf of Thailand from Surat Thani southward should proceed with caution. During 16-20 Feb, all forms of transport should beware in the area of dense fog due to poor visibility especially in the North, the Central and the East.
Northern Part During 14-15 Feb, Cold, 1-2 oC drops with morning fog. Isolated to widely scattered thundershowers with isolated gust. During 16-20 Feb, Cold with morning fog and dense fog in some places. Increasing temperature in daytime. Minimum temperature 14-15 oC. Cold to very cold on mountaintops, minimum temperature 6-10 C. West winds 6-12 km./hr.
Northeastern Part During 14-15 Feb, widely scattered to scattered thunderstorm with isolated gust and then cooler weather with 2-4 oC drops, minimum temperature 13-15 oC. Cold on mountaintops, minimum temperature 10-14 C. Northeasterly winds10-30 km./hr. During 16-20 Feb, Cool with morning fog and dense fog. Increasing temperature in daytime.
Central Part During 14-15 Feb, widely scattered to scattered thundershower with isolated gust mostly in the western and lower part, 1-2 oC drops. During 16-20 Feb, Cool with morning fog and dense fog in some place. Isolated rain in the lower portion. Minimum temperature 20-23 oC. Cool on mountaintops, minimum temperature 16-17 C. Westerly winds 10-30 km./hr.
Eastern Part During 14-15 Feb, widely scattered to scattered thundershowers with isolated gust. Easterly winds 15-35 km./hr. Wave height 1-2 meters.
