Subject: Westerly Trough

The westerly trough has moved to the upper North of Thailand, and another round of strong high pressure area from China extends to the upper Northern Thailand. These causes thunderstorm with gust and hail occurring over the following areas:
- On 15 March, over the North, Northeast, East and Central including Bangkok and vicinity
- During 16-18 March, over the whole country
People should beware of this severe weather during the period. During 16-18 Mar, the wind-wave in Gulf of Thailand will strengthen. It is expected about 2 meters of wave high in the lower Gulf from Surat Thani southward, all ship should proceed with caution.

Northern Part Scattered thunderstorm with isolated gust and hail mostly in Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Lamphun, Lampang, Phayao, Nan, Phrae, Uttaradit, Tak, Sukhothai, Phitsanulok,
Pichit and Phetchabun.
Minimum temperature 22-24 ?C. Maximum temperature 30-32 ?C.
Southerly winds 10-30 km/hr.
Northeastern Part Scattered thunderstorm with isolated gust and hail mostly in Loei, Nong Khai,
Nong Bua Lumphu, Udon Thani, Nakhon Phanom, Sakon Nakhon, Mukdahan, Kalasin, Khon Kaen, Chaiyaphum and Nakhon Ratchasima.
Minimum temperature 20-25 ?C. Maximum temperature 31-34 ?C.
Easterly winds 15-30 km/hr.
Central Part Scattered thunderstorm and isolated gust in mostly in Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani,
Lop Buri, Saraburi, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Suphanburi, Kanchanaburi and Ratchaburi.
Minimum temperature 24-26 ?C. Maximum temperature 32-33 ?C.
Southeasterly winds 10-30 km/hr.
Eastern Part Scattered thunderstorm and isolated gust mostly in Nakhon Nayok, Prachin Buri, Chon Buri, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat.
Minimum temperature 24-25 ?C. Maximum temperature 32-34 ?C.
Southeasterly winds 15-35 km/hr.
Wave height about 1 meter and 1-2 meters offshore.
Southern Part (East Coast) Widely scattered thundershowers mostly in Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat.
Minimum temperature 23-25 ?C. Maximum temperature 32-33 ?C.
Southeasterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters.
Southern Part (West Coast) Scattered thundershowers mostly in Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun.
Minimum temperature 23-25 ?C. Maximum temperature 32-33 ?C.
Easterly winds 10-30 km/hr.
Wave height about 1 meter and 2 meters in the thundershowers areas.
Metropolitan Scattered thunderstorm and isolated gust.
