The strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand. Abundant rain and isolated heavy to very heavy rain occurs over the western part of the country and the East. People in the disaster areas of Chanthaburi, Trat, Ranong, Phang-nga, Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun provinces should beware of flash flood during 9-12 May 2011. The strong wind-wave in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf of Thailand is likely. All ships should proceed with caution, and small boats keep ashore during this period.

The Tropical storm “Aere” is moving across the Philippines, all travelers would check the weather before departure.

Northern Part Scattered thundershowers with isolated gust mostly in Mae Hong Son,

Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, Phayao, Nan, Lampang, Tak, Sukhothai, Phitsanulok

Phichit and Phetchabun.

Minimum temperature 23-25 C. Maximum temperature 34-35 C.

Southwesterly winds 10-30 km/hr.

Northeastern Part Scattered thundershowers with isolated gust mostly in Loei, Nong Khai,

Udon Thani, Sakhon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Mukdahan, Amnat Charoen,

Ubon Ratchathani, Si Sa Ket, Surin, Buri Ram and Nakhon Ratchasima.

Minimum temperature 24-25 C. Maximum temperature 35-36 C.

Southwesterly winds 15-30 km/hr.

Central Part Scattered thundershowers mostly in Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Suphan Buri,

Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Kanchanaburi and Ratchaburi.

Minimum temperature 24-26 C. Maximum temperature 34-35 C.

Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr.

Eastern Part Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rain in Rayong,

Chanthaburi and Trat.

Minimum temperature 24-26 C. Maximum temperature 32-34 C.

Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr.

Wave height about 2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershower areas.

Southern Part (East Coast) Scattered thundershowers mostly in Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan,

Chumphon, Surat Thani and Nakhon Si Thammarat.

Minimum temperature 24-26 C. Maximum temperature 32-34 C.

Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters.

Southern Part (West Coast) Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rain in Ranong,

Phangnga and Phuket.

Minimum temperature 23-24 C. Maximum temperature 31-33 C.

Southwesterly winds 20-40 km/hr. Wave height 2-3 meters.

Metropolitan Scattered thundershowers.

Minimum temperature 26-27 C. Maximum temperature 33-34 C.
