General Situation at 04:00 AM local Time The low pressure cell over the Gulf of Mataban, Myanmar has covered northern Thailand. The southwest monsoon remains strong over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand. Abundant rain and isolated heavy to very heavy rain occurs over much of the windward side of the North, Central, East and western South of the country. People in the disaster areas should beware of flash flood. The areas include provinces of Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Lamphun, Lampang, Phayao, Phrae, Nan, Uttaradit, Phitsanulok, Sukhothai, Tak, Phichit, Phetchabun, Ranong and Phang-nga.

The wind-wave becomes stronger with 2-3 meters high mainly in the Andaman Sea and 2 meters high in the upper Gulf of Thailand. All ships should proceed with caution, and small boats keep ashore during 10-11 May.

Travelers are advised to check the weather forecast before their departure for the Philippines due to Tropical storm “Aere”.

Northern Part Fairly widespread thundershowers with isolated heavy rain and gust

mostly in Mae Hong Son, Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, Phayao, Nan, Phrae,

Lamphun, Lampang, Uttaradit, Tak, Sukhothai, Phitsanulok, Phichit and Phetchabun.

Minimum temperature 23-25 C. Maximum temperature 31-33 C.

Southwesterly winds 10-30 km/hr.

Northeastern Part Scattered thundershowers mostly in Loei, Nong Khai, Chaiyaphum,

Nong Bua Lamphu, Udon Thani, Khon Kaen, Si Sa Ket, Surin, Buri Ram

and Nakhon Ratchasima.

Minimum temperature 24-25 C. Maximum temperature 34-35 C.

Southwesterly winds 15-30 km/hr.

Central Part Fairly widespread thundershowers with isolated heavy rain and gust

mostly in Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Suphan Buri,

Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Kanchanaburi and Ratchaburi.

Minimum temperature 24-26 C. Maximum temperature 32-33 C.

Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr.

Eastern Part Fairly widespread thundershowers with isolated heavy rain and gust

in Nakhon Nayok, Prachin Buri, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat.

Minimum temperature 24-26 C. Maximum temperature 31-33 C.

Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr.

Wave height about 2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershower areas.

Southern Part (East Coast) Scattered thundershowers mostly in Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan,

Chumphon, Surat Thani and Nakhon Si Thammarat.

Minimum temperature 24-26 C. Maximum temperature 32-34 C.

Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters.

Southern Part (West Coast) Fairly widespread thundershowers with isolated heavy rain and gust

in Ranong, Phang-nga and Phuket.

Minimum temperature 23-24 C. Maximum temperature 31-33 C.

Southwesterly winds 20-40 km/hr. Wave height 2-3 meters.

Metropolitan Fairly widespread thundershowers and gust.

Minimum temperature 26-27 C. Maximum temperature 32-33 C.
