The strong southwest monsoon over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand is intensifying. Scattered to fairly widespread thundershower and isolated heavy rain occurs over the monsoon trough and windward side of the North, Central, East and western South of the country. The strong wind-wave is expected mainly in the Andaman Sea 2-4 meters high and in the upper Gulf of Thailand from Surat Thani northward 2-3 meters high. All ships should proceed with caution, high wave over the coastline areas and small boats keep ashore during 16-18 June 2011.

Northern Part Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rain mainly in Chiang Rai, Nan, Phrae, Uttaradit, Tak, Sukhothai, Kamphaeng Phet, Phitsanulok, Phichit and Phetchabun.

Minimum temperature 24-25 C. Maximum temperature 33-34 C.

Southwesterly winds 15-30 km/hr.

Northeastern Part Scattered thundershowers mostly in Loei, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Udon Thani, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Amnat Charoen, Surin, Si Sa Ket and Ubon Ratchathani.

Minimum temperature 23-25 C. Maximum temperature 32-34 C.

Southwesterly winds 15-30 km/hr.

Central Part Fairly widespread thundershowers mostly in Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Suphan Buri,

Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Kanchanaburi and Ratchaburi.

Minimum temperature 22-25 C. Maximum temperature 31-34 C.

Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr.

Eastern Part Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rain in Rayong,

Chanthaburi and Trat.

Minimum temperature 23-25 C. Maximum temperature 31-33 C.

Southwesterly winds 20-40 km/hr.

Wave height 2-3 meters.

Southern Part (East Coast) Scattered thundershowers mostly in Phetchaburi, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Patthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat.

Minimum temperature 23-25 C. Maximum temperature 30-33 C.

Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr.

Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meters offshore areas.

Southern Part (West Coast) Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rain in Ranong,

Phang-nga and Phuket.

Minimum temperature 23-25 C. Maximum temperature 30-32 C.

Southwesterly winds 20-45 km/hr.

Wave height 2-4 meters.

Metropolitan Fairly widespread thundershowers.

Minimum temperature 25-26 C. Maximum temperature 31-33 C.

Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr.
