The strong monsoon trough lies across northern and northeastern Thailand, and a low cell covers the South China Sea. Abundant rain occurs over the upper country. Heavy rain, with isolated very heavy rain, is likely much of the North and Northeast. People in the risky areas along foothills and near waterways are warned of severe weather and flash flood during a few days. These areas include Mae Hong Son, Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, Phayao, Nan, Phrae, Uttaradit, Phetchabun, Sukhothai, Phetchabun, Loei, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Nong Bua Lamphu, Udon Thani, Sakon Nakhon and Nakhon Phanom.
