Warning "Tropical storm Haitang"

AT 04.00 LST today, tropical storm “Haitang” has made landfall over Hue, Vietnam and downgrade to tropical depression, was centered at latitude 16.5 degree North, longitude 107.5 degree East or east-side of Mukdahan about 300 km. with sustained wind about 55 km/hr. this storm will be to low pressure cell today and heading to neighboring Laos and northeastern Thailand respectively. Torrential rain is likely much of the lower portion of northeast, the east and the southwest-coast of Thailand. People along foothills, near waterways and in lowland are warned of flash flood. Disaster areas are listed below:

27-29 September: Mukdahan, Yasothon, Amnat Charoen, Ubon Ratchathani, Nakhon Phanom, Khon Kaen, Chaiyaphum, Kalasin, Maha Sarakham, Roi Et, Mukdahan, Yasothon, Nakhon Ratchasima, Buri Ram, Surin, Si Sa Ket, Rayong, Chanthaburi, Trat, Ranong, Phang-nga, Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun.

The wind-waves in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf are expected 2-3 meters high. All ships should proceed with caution and small boats keep ashore during 27-29 September.
