General Situation at 04:00 AM local Time At 04.00 a.m. today (Oct 4), tropical storm “NALGAE” over the South China Sea was centered about 250 kilometers southeast of Hainan island, China or at latitude 18.0 ?N, longitude 112.0 ?E with maximum sustained wind 95 km/hr. It is moving westward with speed 10 km./hr. and will make landfall at upper Vietnam on 5 Oct.

The monsoon trough lies across the central, the lower portion northeastern and eastern. The intense southwest monsoon remains over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand. More rain is likely over Thailand and isolated heavy rain in the lower North, the lower Northeast, the East and the South west-coast of Thailand, people in the areas should beware of Heavy rain during 1-2 days. The strong wind-waves in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf are expected 2-3 meters high. All ships should proceed with caution and small boats keep ashore.
