Weather Forecast During 17-18 November, the high pressure area covering upper Thailand is weakening. Increasing in temperature is likely over upper Thailand. While cool to cold weather with morning fog and dense fog in some places remain over the North and the Northeast of Thailand. The weakening northeast monsoon prevails over the south and the Gulf of Thailand causing widely scattered to scattered thundershowers are likely in the area with 1-2 meters of wave high in the Gulf of Thailand. After that during 19-23 November, another active high pressure area from China will extend to cover upper Thailand. Rainfall is expected over Thailand at the first period and then drop in 3-5 oC. This condition will occur in the Northeast on 19 Nov, the others part next day.
During 20-23 November, the northeast monsoon over southern Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand will intensify. More rain and isolated heavy rain are expected in the southern Thailand east-coast. And the strong wind wave in the Gulf of Thailand with 2-3 meters high.
Warning During 20-23 Nov, people in southern Thailand east-coast should beware of heavy rain, flooding conditions and strong wind-wave blowing into the coastline. All ships in the Gulf of Thailand should proceed with caution and small boat in the lower Gulf keep ashore during this period.
Northern Part During 17-19 Nov, slightly rise in temperature and isolated light rain.
The upper part: Cool to cold with morning fog and thick patches in some places, minimum 15-18 oC.
The lower part: Cool with morning mist. Minimum 18-22 oC, maximum 30-33 oC.
Cold to very cold on mountaintops, minimum 6-12 oC.
