Weather Forecast During 13-14 Dec, the intense high pressure from China covering upper Thailand will weaken. Increasing in temperature is likely in upper Thailand but cool to cold weather and morning fog remains over Thailand. The active northeast monsoon across southern and the Gulf of Thailand bringing scattered thundershower with wave height 2-3 meters in the areas.
During 15-19 Dec, another intense high pressure from China will extend to upper Thailand causing cool to cold weather is expected over Thailand with drop in 2-3 oC while cold to very cold and isolated frost in the mountaintops of the North and the Northeast. The stronger northeast monsoon prevails over the south and the Gulf of Thailand and during 15-16 Dec, a low cell in the lower South China Sea will move across Malaysia. More rain and isolated heavy rain are expected over the lower South of Thailand and the stronger wind wave in the Gulf of Thailand with 2-4 meters high.
Warning People in upper Thailand including the central and eastern part are advised to wear thick clothes due to cooler weather. During 15-19 Dec, the people in southern Thailand from Nakhon Si Thammarat southward should beware of heavy rain and high surf. All ships should proceed with caution and small boats keep ashore throughout the period.
