The active high pressure affects cold weather, 1-2 ?C drops, and windy. People are advised to wear thick clothes due to sudden changeable weather. The active northeast monsoon affects scattered thundershowers over the South east-coast from Nakhon Sri Thammarat southward. Heavy rain is expected in some places with waves 2-4 meters high in the lower Gulf. Residents along the coast are warned of high surf. All ships should proceed with caution and small boats stay ashore during 1-2 days.
Tropical storm “WACHI” moves at speed of west south west 13 km/hr to the lower South China Sea, or lat 9.6 oN long 114.1 oE, with sustained wind of 65 km/hr. It is expected to downgrade to the low cell before hitting Malaysia by 21 December. This causes more rainfall during 20-22 December with isolated heavy rain.
