Weather Forecast Intense high pressure from China will extend to upper Thailand causing cooler weather is expected over Thailand with 2-3 oC drops and windy. Cold to very cold and isolated frost in the mountaintops of the North and the Northeast. The northeast monsoon prevails over the South and the Gulf of Thailand will strengthen. After that, this high pressure area cover upper Thailand has weakened. Slightly increasing in temperature but cool to cold weather remains over Thailand.
Tropical storm “WACHI” near the south of Philippines is expected move to the lower South China Sea and will downgrade before to the coast line of Malaysia. Increasing in rainfall and isolated heavy rain in the lower south of Thailand during 20-22 Dec, strong wind-waves are 2-4 meters high.
Warning During this period People in upper Thailand including the North, the Northeast, the Central and the East are advised to wear thick clothes due to cool to cold weather. During 18-22 Dec, people in southern Thailand from Nakhon Si Thammarat southward should beware of heavy rain and high surf. All ships should proceed with caution and small boats keep ashore.
