Weather Forecast During 23-27 Dec, another intense high pressure area from China will extend its ridge to cover Thailand, and the westerly trough will move pass the North. Continuously cool to cold, 5-7 oC drops with windy. Cold to very cold on the high mountainous area and frost in some place. The northeast monsoon prevails over the South will strengthen. Strong wind-wave 2-5 meters high is likely in the lower Gulf. After that, this high pressure over Thailand will weaken causing slightly increasing temperature but still cool weather in the North and the Northeast. This northeast monsoon will weaken. Wind wave in the Gulf will weaken but wave height 2-3 meters off-shore mainly in the lower Gulf. Warning During 23-27 Dec, people in upper Thailand including the North, the Northeast, the Central and the East are advised to wear thick clothes due to cool to cold weather. During 24-27 Dec, people in southern Thailand from Nakhon Si Thammarat southward should beware of heavy rain and high surf. All ships should proceed with caution and small boats keep ashore.
