General Situation at 04:00 AM local Time During 12-15 January 2012, the easterly wave will move across lower southern Thailand and the westerly trough will move across Northern Thailand. Thunderstorm with drop in temperature occurs over the upper portion of northern Thailand while more rain with isolated heavy to very heavy rain is likely from Chumphon southward. The disaster areas include:

Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat during 12-14 January 2011.

Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung and Songkhla during 13-15 January 2011.

People in the risky areas along foothills near waterways should beware of flash flood. These areas are as follows: Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat. The strong wind-waves in the Gulf of Thailand are expected 2-4 meters high. All ships should proceed with caution and small boats stay ashore.
